  • Overview

    IBTCI is currently seeking a qualified Finance and Administration Assistant for work under a monitoring and evaluation support services project funded by the United States Agency for International Development Tunisia and Libya Missions (USAID/Tunisia and USAID/Libya). The USAID/Tunisia and USAID/Libya Monitoring and Evaluation in Tunisia and Libya (METAL) is a multi-year project focusing on the provision of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning services across multiple development sectors in both Tunisia and Libya.


    The Finance and Administration Assistant will work closely with the METAL Chief of Party, Finance and Administration Manager, field office staff, and Home Office staff to manage day-to-day operation of finance and administrative functions in the field office.  Must be a Tunisian National.


    Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:  

    The Finance and Administration Assistant will be responsible for ensuring all administrative, human resources, and financial tasks are completed, including:

    • Ensuring office supplies are maintained;
    • Securing travel arrangements and hotel bookings;
    • Assisting in arranging office scheduling and assisting the Finance and Administration Director in human resources functions;
    • Handling day-to-day accounting functions;
    • Reviewing financial documents for accuracy;
    • Maintain records and prepare transfer requests;
    • Monitor project expenses;
    • Ensure financial and administrative functions of the office are carried out within the framework of IBTCI and USAID policies and procedures


    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Computer literate with significant experience in Excel and Word; PowerPoint knowledge is a plus;
    • Knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting software is highly desirable;
    • Experience working with USAID or other international development organizations.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in administrative, financial, or human resources role.
    • Oral and written fluency in Arabic and English.
    • Must be a Tunisian National.

    Education:  Advanced diploma in administration and finance from an accredited university/institution.


    Working Environment: Work is typically performed in an office environment.


    Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.


    Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


    Travel: Travel not required.


    Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in Tunisia.
