Overview: IBTCI is seeking a Project Manager for the USAID/El Salvador Local Solutions Activity. The goals of this activity are to help local civil society organizations (CSOs) to develop their capacities to become more eligible and more effectively compete for resources, as well as be more accountable in the programmatic and financial management of projects and programs they will implement. Capacity building activities will include activities to improve the effectiveness of organizations in strategic planning, organizational and financial stability, program service delivery, program quality and growth. This position is contingent on award.


Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for task order project development from inception to deployment;
  • Plan, organize and supervise the overall activities under the task order;
  • Responsible for coordination of technical support and follow up with beneficiary CSOs;
  • Serve as the institutional liaison to USAID and partner CSOs;
  • Prepare status reports, budget information, and other documentation as needed;



Minimum Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the local context as it relates to CSOs and the challenges they face in El Salvador;
  • A minimum of five years of professional experience in international development program management or program management related to U.S. Government (USG) assistance or contractor of the USG;
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience related to CSOs. Inside knowledge of CSOs is required.
  • Oral and written fluency in English and Spanish required.


Working Environment: Corporate office environment as well as field work.


Education:  Bachelor’s degree in International Development, International Affairs/Relations, Political Affairs, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field required.


Supervisory Responsibility:  This position does have supervisory responsibilities.


Travel:  International travel required.
