Overview: IBTCI is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist to support the USAID Amazon Knowledge Learning Platform Activity. The purpose of the activity is to support the adaptive management of USAID programs under the Amazon Vision across USAID programming for the conservation of Amazon biodiversity in the face of climate change impacts and other threats.  This position is contingent upon award.


Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all activities related to monitoring and evaluation services, ensuring production and completion of quality reports, as determined by the SOW and all evaluation requests.
  • Ensure all technical personnel have the appropriate technical knowledge necessary for his/her job tasks.


Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in performance monitoring, evaluation, and/or data use for decision-making.
  • Demonstrated experience with USAID’s objectives, approaches and operations, particularly as they relate to evaluations, including the USAID ADS 200 series required.
  • Significant demonstrated experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and data analysis techniques required.
  • Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English and Spanish required.


EducationGraduate degree in management, organizational development, international development, economics, statistics, or a related field required. 


Working Environment: Work is typically performed in an office environment, with some time spent in the field.

Supervisory Responsibility:  This position does have supervisory responsibilities.


Physical Requirements:  This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.

Travel:  International travel may be required.
