Classification: This is a managerial, exempt-level position and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Overview: IBTCI is currently seeking a Chief of Party for an upcoming USAID/Nigeria Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Support Project. This will be a full-time, key position based in Abuja, Nigeria. This Project will provide a range of technical assistance to USAID/Nigeria’s portfolio of programs. The Chief of Party will be responsible for leading and managing the overall Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning program. The Chief of Party will work closely with USAID/Nigeria’s leadership team, the Program Office and with technical office team leads, and other Chief of Parties managing USAID projects. Additionally, s/he will work with national level stakeholders from the GON to develop important professional relationships with some of Nigeria’s most reputable social scientists and development professionals.
This position is contingent upon award.
Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
Education: A Master’s degree in an inter-disciplinary area such as applied international development, strategic planning, project design and implementation, or a related field.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Working Environment: Work is typically performed in an office environment.
Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position does have supervisory responsibilities.
Travel: Travel is essential and may include travel to fragile and conflict-affected areas. An average of 25%-35% travel for project implementation and/or project management duties. Percentages may vary depending on IBTCI business needs.
