Overview:
The Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) helps to make the U.S.’s and the Western Hemisphere more peaceful, secure, and prosperous by strengthening the capacity of the
governments and private sector entities. Throughout the region, USAID has 13 field offices, 4 regional programs, and Washington-based programs focusing on Cuba, Ecuador, and Venezuela.
The LAC Regional Sustainable Development (LAC/RSD) Office is seeking one employee to provide long-term Program and Technical Support in the Ronald Reagan Building. Note:Telework is authorized during USAID phase 1 of the COVID crisis. The incumbent will receive guidance and direction from the Team Lead, work closely with the LAC/RSD Senior Energy and Environment Advisor, and may also provide support to other Environment Team staff members on team-wide operations and assignments.

Working Environment: Work is typically performed in an office environment based in Washington, DC. It will begin with remote work until COVID-19 restrictions change.
Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position will be embedded in USAID/Washington LAC and will not have supervisory responsibilities.
Travel: International travel may be required and could include travel to fragile or conflict-prone zones.
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
