Job Title:                       Intern- International Program Support (IPS)                                          

Department/Location:  Humanr Resources- Remote/Vienna, VA         

Reports To:                    Human Resources Manager                       

Type:                             Regular Part-Time (3 months)

Classification:               Non- Exempt                   



IBTCI  is seeking an Intern- IPS to suport the Human Resources Department.  The ideal candidate will be assertive, works with a sense of urgency and possesses a strong work ethic.  Flexibility is key as this position may help support any of the human resources functions.

Please note this is a part-time administrative position with 28 hours per week.


Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:   

  • Update and maintain HR records as needed.
  • Provide benefits administrative support.
  • Provide administrative support on performance management.
  • Provide administrative support on training and development.
  • Provide general HR administrative support.
  • Conduct research on HR matters.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • At least 6 months’ work experience in a high volume, fast paced work environment.
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Oral and written fluency in English required.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Records management experience a plus.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Interest in the HR profession strongly preferred 

Education:  At least two years of college education in Human Resources, Business or other related field.


Working Environment:  Work is typically performed in an office environment, it will begin with remote work until COVID-19 restrictions change.


Physical Requirements:  This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.


Supervisory Responsibility:  This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


Travel: Local travel including time spent in our satellite office in Washington, D.C.


Work Authorization:  Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
